Let us understand how to check update for Add on app like “LS Retail – LS Central” app and similar apps. Also you will get idea how to update those app over cloud easy steps.
Step 1: Open Dynamics 365 Business Central Admin Center
For opening Dynamics 365 Business Central Admin Center you must click on “Settings” button just like shows below image. Further to that choose “Admin Center” to navigate to Admin Center page where all Business Central cloud administration activity performed. ( Note: This option will show only when you are having access assigned by administrator)
Step 2: Choose the right instance you want to update the Addon Extension
In this page choose “Environments” option to view all instances available on your account. For example following account shows 1 Production and 3 Sandbox instances for Business central SaaS / Cloud.
Like I mentioned on the image next step is to click on instances link to view details on that instances.
Step 3: Choose Apps link to Navigate to Manage Apps Screen
Just like specified on following screen click on “Apps” option to navigate to Manage Apps Screen.
Step 4: Manage Apps : View All Apps and Check Latest Available Version if Any
In this page you may see which Business Central app extension updates available now. For example following screen we will see how to update LS Central app to latest version of 24.1.9.990
Step 5: Manage Apps : Click Install Update to update the Microsoft Addon Extension
As mentioned on earlier image click on Install Update link to Schedule / start latest software update for the extension highlighted.
After update you may see the screen like following where LS Central App shows its updated to latest version 24.19.990.
