My advice is that if you are using a very old version, it would be advisable to consider a fresh implementation. This involves uploading masters, opening balances, and going live, rather than going through multiple stages. However, it is up to you whether you want to keep the same records in the new database. If not, it is recommended to opt for a direct implementation of the latest version. Additionally, please note that migrating stage by stage may be time-consuming, as it involves compiling data from the old database to the new one, considering that the table structure itself has changed. For example, if you are planning to upgrade from the old NAV version 4.0, there have been changes in the Dimension keeping architecture. Improper upgrading may result in errors at the front end.
